This seems like a strange dichotomy of this section. The majority of people in here will rage on anyone who abuses animals, especially dogs, but if someone says "oh hai, I'm a vegan/vegetarian," they rage on that person just as hard. It doesn't make any sense. If you hate animal abuse, then why do you guys rage so hard on people that don't want to support the abuse animals via hunting/factory farmed meat, animal testing, etc?

Why is it that vegans are so hated in the misc, but so are animal abusers? (serious)

cuz this is a BB forum, show pics of ur great vegan physique and then u will be legible to talk all the **** u want. Most of the ***got vegan preachers on here go on about eating meat is bad and u can gain just as much muscle by eating like a vegan, blah blah blah but they never manage to prove their worth, they r all talk and no show.

How is keeping an animal locked up in a tight pen all of it's life, stuffing it with grain (not it's natural food source), not allowing it outside or even able to turn around, pumping it full of hormones and antibiotics, hanging it by one leg, shocking it, and slitting it's throat while still able to feel...being nice to them? How is taking baby cows from their mothers, causing the mother to freak out for days, and then taking those cows, stuffing them in a wooden crate where they can't move, and keeping them on a low iron diet until they are killed after a miserably short life being nice?

Where do you get your meat? If it's factory farmed, the animal is abused it's entire life. Do you know anything about the animals you eat? How they are housed? What they are fed? What they are pumped full of? How miserable they are?
How are they different? You don't need to do either.
Eating animals is not necessary. Plenty of people live perfectly healthy lives without eating animals or animal products.

This is about eating meat, not the ethical treatment of the animals set to be slaughtered.
I'm sure no meat eater is happy with the conditions of the animals they will eat. Some take measures to prevent this from happening to their meat, some don't. My family buys kosher meat from a family friend in bulk, so none of the meat I eat is slaughtered inhumanely. There is a difference between that, and choosing to be a vegan. If refusing to eat the meat is your way of noting displeasure, that's fine. But it is comparable to voicing an opinion behind a desk instead of taking action.

Lol how are they diff? Your stupid. If you get pleasure from watching an animal suffer, then your ****ing sick. If you eat it and dont make it suffer for fun or get pleasure from watching it suffer, then your just eating it for the food, cave me did it, deal with it bitch. oh and there is a big diff. Idiot.

There is already another thread on here with pictures of muscular vegan bodybuilders, as well as a list of pro athletes, world champions, gold medalists, etc who are vegan. I just recently cut meat entirely out of my diet, so it would be pointless for me personally to post a pic, but it's unnecessary, given the information provided in the other thread.

Your choice to be a vegan is a delusion. You not eating meat will not change the ethical practices of the meat industry, no matter what. EVERYBODY has a personal choice to eat or not to eat meat.
No one person has ever made a difference ALONE. Influential figures have brought about change and convinced the masses, but never can it be done alone.

Vegans are self righteous self absorbed moralizing douchebags.
Animals eat each other. We are animals. We are omnivores.
We are no less humane to animals than they are to each other.
People who intentionally torture animals for pleasure are evil and messed up.
Vegas are evil and messed up too and negged.Last edited by CementPizza; 06-02-2009 at 07:58 AM.

I have no moral responsibility.
No more than any other animal. I am part of nature and so are you.
Either we are or we are not. Either we are part of earth and the eco system or we are not.
If we are not... we are some how superior and have no moral responsiblity. The other creatures are subject to us.
If we are, we have no moral responsiblity either... because we are equal to them.R.I.P. Hector Bluntz
