    how many calories are in a chicken you would get at a grocery store

    read title please i got two in a package and it says .600kg, which is 600 grams so dividing that by 2 is 300grams per chicken roughly, which is 490 calories, but i just can't beleive it is, so is it or am i doing something wrong?

    Yes, 300 grams of cooked chicken is a lot!

    And it doesn't matter if you got it from the grocery store or hopped the fence at the farm and abducted some lives chickens... 300g of chicken breast is 300g of chicken breast.

    I used to eat 200g chicken breasts thinking I was only getting in about 30g protein tops, but I was quite mistaken.

    That 300g of chicken can be divvied up into 2-3 portions.

    Seems right, 100g = 163.6 cals.

    So (roughly) 163.6 x 3 = 490.

    Yes, but so does a can of tuna, and a 6 oz steak looks like bird feed. When it comes to managing your calories and intake though, what it looks like is irrelevant, and 150g chicken in a grilled pita wrap is hefty IMO and with some veggies, it shall do you well, my friend.

    ya lol, i love foods that pack a punch, and finding out that i don't have to each as much chicken/steak will save on my $ lol
