They're great for squatting, keep your feet flat on the floor. I use them.

Yep. Keeps my feet flat on the floor. Any flat shoes will help over the typical running or basketball shoes. You could always go barefoot too.

I squat in all white high top chucks, better than running shoes IMO because of the flat base.

Yeah, didn't notice much of a difference, but I lifted in a flat sole before I used them.

I would recommend doing anything athletic in chuck taylors, way too easy to roll an ankle.

i dont use chuck's.. lots of powerlifters love them.
I bought a pair of Olympic weightlifting shoes. and squatting in them feels completely different than just a random pair of nike running shoes i wear for everything else. Olympic weightlifing shoes are much more expensive 100 plus for a decent pair and 150 plus for a nice pair. but they make a world of difference.

? my heels usually come off the ground ATG, wouldn't you want a little raised heel?
I normally switch to my shox to squat. I heard chuck taylor's are good for Deadlifting...

i lift in a pair of nike dunk (low tops) and works great for me, flat sole and all.
I tried doing weighted lunges with nike shox on about a month ago.... never again.

I heard that anything compression is bad because it absorbs too much energy when you lift the weight.
