On TKD, what is the ideal thing to do as far as pre and post cardio nutrition? Should I be doing the same PWO nutrition after cardio that I do after lifting? For that I do a protein/maltodextrin shake and then follow with my Keto breakfast about 60 - 90 minutes later. Or should I jump right to breakfast?
Secondly . . . what's the general feeling for fasted cardio first thing in the am? Am I missing out on fat burning benefits by not getting something in my stomach before cardio? If so, what does everyone recommend?
I have been working from the assumption that the idea for Keto was that you would tap right into bodyfat if you worked out first thing on an empty stomach. But maybe I have that all wrong. Just wanted to check before I got any farther into things. What I am doing seems to be working, but maybe I am missing something that could have an even greater impact on fat loss.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

On the topic of fasted cardio, in my opinion it is kind of a waste on Keto. The entire reason to do fasted cardio is that you would have to burn through less daily dietary sugar before tapping fat stores(when done before breakfast). This is irrelevant on a keto diet since we do not consume sugar. So, you would just be doing cardio while hungry for no reason, lol... punishment for no reason.
As for post cardio nutrition. Most treat HIIT cardio like a workout and use protein + carbs immediately after. Personally, I do all of my cardio post lifting so this isn't an issue for me. I just have the shake after I'm done.
