I mean its certainly not as good for you as the original flavor...

I would go with the original flavor and then "sweeten" it with your own fruit, splenda (no sugar sweetner), and cinnamon

First of all the sugar in this oatmeal is refined sugar. Refined sugar raises insulin levels in the blood, and raised blood insulin depresses the immune system. When the immune system is depressed, you ability to fight diseases are weakened.

Raised blood insulin also results in fat gain.

Refined sugar contains no minerals or vitamins WHATSOEVER so for in order it to be metabolized by the body, it MUST draw upon the bodies preserved vitamins and minerals. Whenever these reserves are depleted, metabolization of cholestrol and fatt acids are impeded. Henceforth resulting in heightened blood blood serum triglyceride and cholesterol levels, promoting obesity due to the higher fatty acid storage around vital organs. These organs cannot function in top condition with this storage.

? Sugar can contribute to osteoporosis.

? Sugar can cause a decrease in insulin sensitivity.

? Sugar leads to decreased glucose tolerance.

? Sugar can cause cardiovascular disease.

? Sugar can increase systolic blood pressure.

    ? Sugar causes food allergies.

? Sugar can cause free radical formation in the bloodstream.

? Sugar can cause toxemia during pregnancy.

? Sugar can contribute to eczema in children.

? Sugar can overstress the pancreas, causing damage.

    ? Sugar can cause atherosclerosis.

? Sugar can compromise the lining of the capillaries.

? Sugar can cause liver cells to divide, increasing the size of the liver.

? Sugar can increase the amount of fat in the liver.

? Sugar can increase kidney size and produce pathological changes in the kidney.

    ? Sugar can cause depression.

    Etc, etc..
    Believe to Achieve.

Guys, let's keep it in context here. We're not talking about a 400 lbs woman that lives on Snickers and Ho Ho's, we're talking about eating a packet of instant oatmeal.

Don't worry about the friggin sugar in that single packet.

This sugar packed oatmeal is unhealthy to eat, it doesn't matter if your Bruce Lee or a regular McDonald's customer.

Just because your active doesn't mean the sugar is just going to dissipate into thin air.

Agreed. And if you're really THAT worried about the sugar, get the Low-Sugar instant oatmeal. They have the same flavors, it tastes exactly the same (if not better) and it has less sugar. I would go with the Low-Sugar or Weight Control if you're really that worried about the sugar in the regular instant oatmeal.

It will be broken down for energy, the same exact friggin way that oatmeal is broken down. And Bruce Lee downed honey constantly, why? He said it was great for ENERGY. There is nothing inherently unhealthy about sugar. If its ALL you eat thenof course it isn't healthy. If you are deficient in some vitamin or mineral as a result of your sugar intake, of course its unhealthy. If you meet all your requirements and have some sugar along with your meals....there is nothing wrong with it

True, I'd prefer 100% Natural Oatmeal.. ingredients: 100% prairie grown oats, no artificial flavors.

I guess you only eat home-grown veggies to be free of pesticides and you raise your own beef to avoid growth hormones. No packaged chicken either..you don't even want to know what they feed those caged birds. Do you wear a respirator to avoid 2nd and 3rd hand smoke, as well as carbon monoxide from combustion engines?
