HIIT < will > boost your metabolsim for quite some time , eating after won't mess up your fat loss. HIIT also eats up the glycogen in your muscles , which you'd like restored , like after a good weight lifting session.
This is my view and it ain't just pasted ****. About 335 pounds last year. 250-255 right now with a much more satisfactory amount of muscle mass, and I haven't even trained or kept a controlled diet all this last year. Was completely off for almost 6 months, both training and diet. Didn't pack on too much fat during that period because of what I believe building some muscle did for me - which is raise my calorie needs slightly , in time.
Anyway , I like to eat a little both before and after HIIT (not doing it anymore, just keeping a weight loss diet and only lifting weights, no cardio, working lovely to be honest, even if slightly slower) and push myself to the bloody limit , knowing that I'm properly fuelled to do it. Always felt I got the best compromise this way, and did everything possible to keep that muscle mass fuelled and out of catab.
Cheers. Gotta run
