Question for the MISC (RIMS/TIRES) Reps
I'm looking at getting some new tires.. I found the rims but now I need to know what tires I can get (cheaply)
I found some '99 mustang cobra rims that will fit my car, although I'm not sure the offset of the rims, but I know i'll need some spacers
What size tires do i need for these rims?
Here's the rim specs:
17" x 8"
5 Lug bolt pattern (5 x 4.5)
70.3 center bore
The tires I have on the stock rims are 225/70R/15

You need to find the offset before you make the decision.....Otherwise expect to pay outrageous prices for spacers if you are badly wrong. Also you sure they are a negative offset compared to your stock offset ones?

Go to tirerack.com. you can put in your car info and the site will show you what size tires will go with the rims and your car.

Once you figure out the size type it on on ebay. They have pretty cheap prices with free shipping alot of times. I always get my tires from there.

do a search for a tire size calculator... there is one that you type in the numbers and you get circles representing wheels and tires. you can play around with different tire sizes until you find one that has almost the same circumference... otherwise, your speedo will be off.

my stock offset is low 0-6mm
and the mustang ones are 30mm i believe
spacers will solve the problem just fine i believe i'll need 1.5-2" spacers?
