I've read a bunch of threads asking stuff about PB, but I couldn't find any reason for eating it?
What are the benefits of adding it to our diet?

When trying to lose weight you focus on your calorie intake.
You eat less than your maintenance (burn more calories than you receive) and you lose weight/lose fat.
Fat or Carb intake doesn't matter, only excess calories make you gain weight and burning more calories than you receive make you lose weight.
You can have 2 PB Sandwiches a day as long as it fits into your caloric needs. (and if that's your only fat source than it's not enough)

Just had this discussion with my bro in law, who was reading into labels too much.
I think he got Smuckers "natural" PB thinking it was less calories, less fat ,etc. He's been reading up on some old Schwarsneggar book as well as hte China Study book and trying to change his eating habits to be "more natural" and less calories.
So smuckers natural PB is:
Amount Per Serving
Calories 210
% Daily Value
Total Fat 16g 25%
Saturated Fat 2.5g 12%
Trans Fat 0g
Cholesterol 0g 0%
Sodium 120g 5%
Total Carbohydrates 6g 2%
Dietary Fiber 2g 9%
Sugars 1g
Protein 8g
Yet a week before, I decided to treat myself and bought "Peanut Butter and Companys Dark Chocolate Dreams Peanut Butter"
Nutrition Facts
Serving Size: 2Tbsp (32g)
Amount per Serving
Calories 170 Calories from Fat 110
% Daily Value *
Total Fat 13g 20%
Saturated Fat 2.5g 12%
Cholesterol 0mg 0%
Sodium 35mg 1%
Total Carbohydrate 12g 4%
Dietary Fiber 2g 8%
Sugars 7g
Protein 6g 12%
The Dark Chocolate PB is Incredilicious! And in many respects one can argue is as good or better than the "all natural' PB he got.
I toss 2 scoops into my shake and is GREAT
