No... I boated from a launch south of Bangkok to Si Racha and off on foot+hitchhiking and went through all sorts of ****. (customs problems, broken roads, getting bitten by some bug that made my arm swell up like a baseball in cambodia)
Although maybe I would have riverboated it if I had 10 years on my hands.

if the op is really serious abuot this, then good luck.
his best bet would be to get some decent interview clothes and find a job asap. Believe it or not, you may be first choice for a job since you have a degree.
$99/night at an inn or hotel would start to rack up quick, you may need to sleep in a park somewhere. Just watch out for mountain lions and black bears we've got a ton of them up here.
