Any audiophiles in here? Need help setting up a rig
So the plan is to have the audio signal pass through a crossover and into amps that power some passive monitors (most likely behringer b2030p's) and a sub. This is all coming from my PC, which is where the problem begins. What is the audio signal that enters into the crossover? I'm assuming it has to come from a DAC of some sort (so, it must be analog?).
So is it PC --> DAC --> Crossover --> Amp --> Monitors/Sub?
Ugh ive been reading all day - this is so confusing

I would have thought you'd go PC-DAC-Amp-Crossover-Monitor/Sub - but then again I know fuk all about music set ups - I'm talking home theatre.

Hmm...I was just basing it off the wikipedia page about active crossovers, which says the amplification occurs after.
thanks though

Amp before crossover eh? That could work out nicely, since then I can just get a stereo receiver instead of a DAC/amp combo.
Any equipment advice?
