I saw one review that said it was much better than the critics are saying.
I mentioned it to my wife, maybe we'll go tonight. With my current workout schedule friday night tends to be 'date' night.

i just got back from imax...the movie was awful. all mcg does is blow stuff up, and have cool special effects...story was lame, characters were lame, writing was lame...star trek owns this movie...save your time and money and skip this until renting on dvd...what a letdown

Is it worse than T3? It is a little unrealistic to expect it to live up ot T2 IMO!

i thought it was the worst of the bunch to be perfectly honest...special effects were topnotch, but some scenes looked incredibly fake and and the writing just sucked...and teh plot was just crazy transparent.

Thats a drag. Just when we finally get a great new Star Trek it seems the Terminator series is heading in the other direction!

Well the wife and I went to see this tonight. Incredible action, like bodyrokk said from start to finish it's pretty much full bore.
The story line, pretty sad! But it's a sci fi so not alot was expected of it's story, it didn't even live up to my low expectations though.
If you're looking for action, go ahead and see it, but if you haven't seen Star Trek yet, go see it first.

Same here. Without Arnold, it doesn't really seem like a Terminator movie. According to rottentomatoes, this new movie doesn't look too good. I saw T2 and T3 in the theater, but I'll probably skip this one.

Don't tell me you didn't see the first and the original terminator in the movies????? That was the best of all of them by far.
T2 was kool but that f'cker was too bony for me man, he didn't have that terminator look, T3 she was just too damn sexy for me to even view her as a terminator I just kept looking at her camel toes!
But I saw all three in the movies as soon as they came out, but I am just a little skeptical about this one.

I really wanted to see it....not sure it's worth the money tho...fwiw critics are saying "good action, not much story" - I am beginning to think I will wait for the dvd..
I did see Star Trek twice...(second time, took kids) - loved it.

Yeah, I saw the first terminator, but not in the theater unfortunately. I loved T1 and T2. T3 was OK, but I definitely had the feeling that the terminator series was on a downward slide. I'm not really all that interested in this latest movie.

Yeah I seem to always go against the grain, cause everyone told me the movie was excellent, and to me it sucked.

That's too bad....
FWIW, ST was the 1st movie I've paid to see in the theater since Wrath of Kahn...
Which has 2b the best of all the 'original' ST movies...
The only thing I disliked about it was the 'jiggle-cam'!
Even the close-ups seemed to be shaky!
Other than that, it was good.
Doubt I'd pay to see Terminator tho... will wait for DVD and 'borrow' it from somebody.

No way, that ending was classic!! You of all people should know fairy tail endings most often only occur in fairy tales. Clint made the ultimate sacrifice in righting his past wrongs!! Sad yes, but perfect IMO!

Oh the ending was hot because he ended it in style, but I was f'cking mad that they didn't get what they deserved for doing that to the girl, in my world an eye for an eye, all they got was jail time, not the same. They should have been killed!
But other than that the move was off the chain.

The critics are full of ****. Many of these folks bashed both Terminator movies....now they are talking about "this movie fails to capture the spirit....etc" Its nonsense, this is a much darker movie than part 2, but not much different from the original in that regard. I thought it was a decent movie, some plot holes, but not awful like some are claiming.
People expecting goofy Arnold humor and cheesy one-liners are going to be majorly disappointed, but this is a decent action/adventure movie that really delves deeper into Skynet and the different sorts of machines and what not. The appearance of Arnold in the movie is also really really cool, the people in the theater cheered when he was shown, it was a grand moment.

I love the terminator but I will be honest IMO the first one was the best second one OK third one not so good.
The first one caught me off guard and the whole concept was mind blowing after that, well it was just that.

T1 and T2 were both great IMO, T3 sucked. Kinda like Mad Max & The Road Warrior, buy the time they got to Thunderdome it was a waste of money!

The point is that a lot of these critics are now saying "well this doesn't compare to the original and sequel" because it is too dark and what not, but these are the same folks that bashed the hell out of those two films back when they first came out as well.
