Working out and Working ... Doing it Right for the 2nd time
Hey y'all,
Decided to start a new journal. I weighed 182 lbs today. Time to get my life under control and no longer be out of control. Its harder now then when I was in school, but I can do it.
there will be NO MORE EXCUSES.
I just got asked to be a transformation of the week for my past progress. Little do they know I have gained 36 pounds back.
Anyway going back to what did it for me before. Writing down everything I eat, counting calories, and NO EXCUSES.
Here is the food for today:
Calories:1402
fat: 47.4g (30%)
carbs: 100.7g (29%)
protein: 132.4g (38%)
I didn't workout today. Going to do cardio in the morning tomorrow and then lift after work.

It is now 10:45, I have been up since 4:30. Didn't lift tonight, went to a movie. Food was pretty good considering the number of hours I've been up. (also i'm out of meat and eggs and really didn't want tuna... so oatmeal it was!)

circular plate driver - 10x12, 10x12
smith machine press: 95x12, 105x12, 115x5, 115x5
smith upright row: 65x20, 75x12, 85x

Didn't do to much exciting today. Bought some skirts at old navy that fit. Lets face it a mini skirt that is too small just doesn't work, and I like to wear mini skirts. I figure they'll be too big next summer, but thats why I went to old navy
Ok I should've done more work today but errands too a long time! okay some more work before bed. (Next week is my 5th college reunion, taking of two days + memorial day, so got to work now)

50 mins cardio
(25 mins bike, 25 mins treadmill)
calories: 1376
fat: 54.1g (35%)
carbs: 121.9g (35%)
protein: 144.2g (42%)
not the cleanest diet today, but calories were under control. Had maybe a little too much diet ice cream and 2 fried chicken drumsticks for lunch.
I'm going to go to work tomorrow for a normal day. I'm taking off Friday and Thursday this week and would prefer not to loose my job for not working enough.

I loved vegas btw!

Hey! Just saw your journal and want to follow along! My name is Irene and I recently started a journal of my own after obsessively reading these forums for a few weeks. Mine is called Reaching 130lbs. Your progress photos look great and you can totally get back to that, no doubt about it. Just keep at it, its all about consistency.
I LOVE Vegas! I've been twice and always have a great time. The restaurants there are so so good and I always gain like 5 lbs while there!
Good luck with tomorrow, 1 day at a time!! I will be following your journey!
Nite nite

You don't have to run away. I mean days when I'm at a 1000 I'm not going to force myself to eat if I'm not hungry. And 100g -120g of carbs works well for me, no carb didn't work well. i think amount of carbs is very individual, like more than anything everyone's body reacts different.

Hmmm, I'm not too certain, but I think to lose weight a healthy way, so it won't creep back up on you and actually boost your metabolism is to have about 50 - 60g of fat. That way, It prevents your body from reverting to starvation mode.
Then again, if it works best
