I tend to like songs with lyrics I can relate to a workout with a good steady beat (fast or slow) examples:
Adele - Rolling in the deep
The black eyed peas - Imma be
Kanye West - Stronger
The Prodigy - Breath, fire starter, voodoo people
Eminem - lose yourself
Mike Posner - cooler than me
Foo Fighters - all my life, everlong, monkey wrench
Florence + The machine - dog days are over
Flo Rida - Good feeling
Major Lazer - Hold the line
I also try to find songs with good "intervals" for cardio days. Most heavy rock and metal is always good, but it's already been well covered in this thread I think... pz

The music I use as motivation for exercise?
I am unable to name one "genre" or "artist" because it varies so often.
A Pandora Radio Station I have been enjoying in the gym is titled "Ambition Radio"
Included:
-Eminem
-Avicii
-J. Cole
-Swedish House Mafia
-Kendrick Lamar
-Linkin Park
-Drake
This has been giving me a wide variety of songs that gets more accurate the more I 'thumbs up' and 'thumbs down' individual songs
