on iceberg with a bit of onion and some mexican cheese. I highly recommend.

^not keto specific, but i'm on keto and I love this dressing and it's full of olive oil
otherwise, I love bleu cheese dressing or greek (olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice (a tiny bit) and a ton of feta cheese)

I add a can of tuna mixed with hot sauce to a big bowl of spinach and lettuce.

Another good one is shredded cheddar cheese and ground turkey with taco seasoning, mixed with spinach & lettuce. Basically a taco salad.

Most of the time I use oil and vinegar, that's it.

I bust out olive oil, dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, salt, cayenne pepper, and oregano. Mix it up really well. It won't separate on you because the mustard has emulsifiers in it.

cheese, avacado, bacon, ranch dressing on a bed of rommaine. Salads are what i usually use to get my fats to catch up so i rarely throw in protein in there as i get most of it from my main dish (usually a steak).

I know this is an old thread, but I stumbled across it and had to share one of my favorite keto meals. Keeps me full all night and has a great Ketogenic/Anti-Ketogenic ratio (K/AK).

    Southwest Baconburger Salad
Cook 2 strips of bacon and a 1/4 lb. 73% lean burger patty. Take the bacon grease and make vinaigrette with red wine vinegar, yellow mustard, salt/pepp, and sriracha. Emulsify with whisk and add all ingredients to salad of choice (I use a spring mix or romaine). Top with half of an avocado and shredded colby jack.

    Macros:
    1/4 lb. 73% lean burger 350 Cals/30 g fat/0 net carbs/17 g protein
    2 strips bacon 140 Cals/12 g fat/0 net carbs/8 g protein
    1/2 medium avocado 116 Cals/10.5 g fat/1 g net carbs/1.5 g protein
    1/4 C. colby jack cheese 110 Cals/9 g fat/1 g net carbs/7 g protein
    1 C. organic spring mix 7.5 Cals/0 g fat/1 g net carbs/0.5 g protein
Other vinaigrette ingredients: mustard, vinegar, and spices have negligible macros, so no need to count

    Total Macros: 723.5 Cals/61.5 g fat (~76.5%)/3 g net carbs (~1.7%)/34 g protein (~18.8%)

    K/AK = .9(61.5) + .46(34)/1(3) + .1(61.5) + .58(34)
    = 55.35 + 15.64/ 3 + 6.15 + 19.72
    = 70.99/28.87
K/AK = 2.46 (well over the 1.5 ratio to stay in ketosis)

    Damn good.

    epic bump!

I recently started subbing Bolthouse farms Ranch for Hidden Valley - BF is only 45 cals per serving, it is made out of yogurt (so it goes bad) instead of soybean oil.

I make my salad base all or mostly out of raw spinach, then add any combination of tomato, bell peppers, brocolli, onions, pickles, eggs, lunch meat, cheese, cottage cheese, olives, chicken.. etc.

I shoot for big spinach and vegetable bases that total around 400-500 calories, fills me up for not that many calories.

2 tablespoons olive oil, no vinegar. My salads are roughly a half a pound of a mix of asparagus, french green beans, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, bell peppers and avocado. Eaten with about a .4 pounds of Chicken Breast. Only about 1.5 tablespoons of the olive oil is ingested, the rest gets stuck to the bowl.

I prefer monounsatured/polyunsaturated fats over the saturated fats in meats.
