    Hurt my shoulder playing football. How long to recover?

    Friday we were playing some tackle football amongst guys around the neighborhood. I threw two blocks on one play with my right shoulder I heard a type of "crunch" sound both times. It hurt like hell but I thought it was just temporary. When I got back home I noticed it still hurt so I iced it heavily and made an impromptu sling.

    The pain has subsided some since then but I'm wondering if the minor pain will continue on for a long time and I won't be able to lift?

    I'm thinking I should just do cardio, abs, and legs for 2 weeks and see if it heals up fully? Any tips on exercises for shoulder rehab?

    Well if you heard a "crunch" sound thats not good......I had the exact same thing happen to me about 3 weeks ago and my shoulder still isnt the same.....the swelling and inflammation has subsided, but I feel like something is "in" my shoulder or loose in there.....if i move it certain ways it hurts.....

    Take some anti-inflammatories, rest it and dont do shoulders for like maybe 2 weeks and see how u feel.....

    If it still bothers you, go to the doc and get an X-Ray or MRI......
