Yea just Sprint now. They are talking about a Verizon version (which will probably be watered down cause Verizon = Hitler when it comes to their phones).

Then they are talking about a GSM version in like a year or so.

Maybe, nobody knows how well the battery will do til it comes out. Really if it can go 2 days with heavy use that's great. My Treo 750 can barely pull 12 hours.

HATE my 750. The messaging just stopped opening like 2 weeks ago and now I'm using some ****ass go phone cause I don't wanna pay the hundred bucks to get a new one through insurance. FML.

Yea I'm being hopeful. Probably won't do that. One thing it does have is the "push" technology for emails...how it works is basically instead of your phone having to connect to the web every so often to check for emails, it basically just sends them straight to your phone when they hit the mail servers. This is good cause it saves tons of battery life. Blackberry's have it now and probably some other phones.

But yea I agree it's hard to say, we'll find out saturday though.

My G1 has push for Gmail. It's cool sometimes except when it's stupid emails from companies I no longer care about lol

If any of yall are interested in getting out of your contracts let me know. I know a site that works well where someone else transfers and takes over your account. Usually that means you have to offer your phone for free but since you are looking to get a new phone wont make much of a difference.

when are you planning on selling? I just threw alittle bit of money at it, since I'm buying it pretty high, yeah I've been watching this since the pre was anouncted early this year. I just didn't like the only techies knew about this phone, its being released on sprint, and Apple is having its WWDC on the 8th (new iphone? and only 2 days after pre release)

only after reading some early reviews, and reading its exclusive to sprint for only this year, and verizon and ATT should be picking up the pre early next year, I finally got some shares.

So far rumors look really good, only negative I've read is mixed feelings about the keyboard (hard to type), with in 6 months the pre should be in the 3 major carriers, and palm will be coming out with new hardware running the webOS, this could be a long hold.

I wouldn't recommend long hold for this....in a few more months tons of new blackberries and iphones + google phones will be out -_-

anybody get it today? i got mine from best buy. I got there 15 minutes before open and there was a line. I got the 9th of the 9 they had. That included me going off on someone holding a spot for someone who tried to jump in.

So i have mine and it's bad ass so far. My number didn't port from Tmobile yet so i can't really call/txt yet though.

I'm syncing my music from iTunes now. So far it works just like an iPod.

The camera takes absolutely awesome pics.

The wi-fi works great.

The web browsing is VERY similar to the iPhone so it works great.

The phone itself feels great but the keys feel pretty cramped.

The gestures and OS seem pretty damn awesome so far.

There is a little tab protecting the charging port that's on the right side. I hate it. It's a bitch to get off and I guarantee I rip it off in the next couple days.

The screen is DAMN good.

the iphone isn't even that great, the only thing the iphone has over many phones is the fact that it has more applications available. as far as email, web, and even third party software the blackberry storm has it beat. This phone looks cool and of course the hype about it is going to be crazy but every new phone thats going to come out will have features the iphone doesn't have only because the iphone is a few years older.

when the blackberry storm 2 comes out next year it will not only kill the iphone again, but it will make the google phone and this palm pre look like dinosaurs.

Im glad theres more touch screen competition for apple, maybe they'll step up their game.

Having owend the 1g and 2g versions, i dont know if i could go with anything else.

It's hard to explain but it fills the screen in perfectly. It works just like the iPhone. You can rotate it and it will flip to the side as well.

Another awesome thing I just found, it has the "tiltometer" or whatever the hell. When you hold the phone up to your ear the back light automatically turns off, when you look at it, it automatically turns back on. Nice tough since it doesn't seem like the battery life is too hot.

After a full day getting use to it I totally agree. This thing works great and it's set up very nice.

Absolutely. It's a new operating system but once you get use to it, it's amazing. The camera is ridiculously good in my opinion. There is no zoom or video recording but it does have a flash. The GPS works awesome, google maps, I downloaded a couple applications for free like the weather program and the one to check movie times.

It does have some cons

The keyboard is pretty small but the phone is actually surprisingly small

You can easily do custom ring tones but for whatever reason you can not change the tones on the other alerts like txts, emails, alarms. Really weird.

I'm only on my second charge now but the battery only lasted about 1.5 days BUT that was with heavy usage.
