Cardio While Hurt
Hey all, I twisted my ankle a few weeks back and hurt some of the ligaments. They still are sore some of the time and I can't run or jog at the moment. I was planning on starting my summer workout routine this week. Anyone have any advice on keep cardio and weight loss going while the ankle is injured? Thanks for any help.

I would go with swimming, no impact and if you want you can only use your arms.

I would urge you, based from my own experience, to allow your ankle to hear for a couple of weeks. If you don't you may continue to aggrivate the injury and prolong your absence from exercising. You may be able to perform upperbody exercises, like pullups, dips and things like that to some success.

yeah take a while and let it heal if u try to do cardio with your lower body u may have a sore ankle longer than needed
also if u do cardio on it try to soak it in ice water after and keep it elevated 6 inches above chest level <- i had to do this about a week ago for tendonitus and it worked great
