I am going on a 12-week workout plan and have created a supplement stack for me to take. My current weight is 220lbs and my goal weight at the end of the 12 weeks is 175-185lbs. I plan to obviously lose weight but also gain muscle. I would like to know if there is anything I should add/remove on my stack to increase my weight loss and muscle gain. PLEASE HELP!
My Stack:
(I love BSN products)
BSN Syntha-6
Detour Lean Muscle Protein Bars
BSN NO-Xplode
BSN Nitrix
NutreX Lipo 6X
BSN Cell-Mass
GNC Mega-Men Sport Multivitamin (inexpensive and seems to get the job done)

Pretty solid stack. I'm not a big BSN fan, but if it works for you then I'd say stick with that! Your diet will obviously be one of the key factors, and I think the stack you have designed is going to work pretty well if you can work the diet out and have your workouts designed correctly.www.kylelongfitness.com

the stack looks good, but be careful trying to take NO Xplode and Lipo6 together -- they are both heavy stimulants!
I would take 1 dose of Lipo 6 right before your workout, and drop the NO Xplode completely.
Everything else seems pretty solid - just make sure your diet and training are in check!
Good luck bro!

Looks pretty good. If you are set on that 3 day split, I would go Chest/Tri's/Shoulders, then legs, then Chest/bi/back, that way your chest gets a little longer to rest.
I would actually reccommend a split that looks more like Day 1- Chest/Tri's/Abs, Tuesday off(cardio), Wednesday Back/Biceps, thursday off (cardio), Friday Legs/shoulders/abs, Saturday off (cardio) Sunday totally off.
Just a suggestion!www.kylelongfitness.com

I should have been more specific and I made a mistake, I wouldn't do chest on back to back days. Also I was planning on working my abs everyday but not too rigorously.
Day 1: Chest/Tri/Shoulder/abs (20-25 min light run)
Day 2: Bi/Back/Lats/abs (30-35 min swimming laps)
Day 3: Legs/abs (25 min bike or elliptical)
Day 4: Repeat Day 1
Day 5: Repeat Day 2
Day 6: Repeat Day 3
Day 7: Complete Rest Day
Abs: Crunch Machine + Decline Crunch
Chest: Bench + Incline Bench (alternate every two weeks with barbell and dumbell)
Triceps: Close-Grip Bench + Rope Pulldown
Shoulders: Seated Dumbbell Press + Front Dumbbell Raise/Side Lateral Raise
Biceps: Hammer Curl/Preacher Curl + Dumbbell Curl/Barbell Curl
Lats: Close Grip Lat Pulldown + Wide Grip Lat Pulldown
Back: Dumbbell Row + Deadlift
Legs: Squat/Leg Press + Leg Extensions + Leg Curl + Seated Calf Raises
Does this seem ok? I'm planning on doing three sets to each exercise. What would be better: 3 sets 10 reps OR 3 sets 12/10/8 reps

NO-Xplode improves my performance ridiculously and I do not work out the same without it. I am currently taking Lipo 6x but not NO-Xplode. I have taken Hydroxycut Hardcore with NO-Xplode and nothing bad has happened. I do want to take NO-Xplode and some kind of strong fat loss supplement. Is there something besides Lipo 6X that you recommend I take?

in my opinion you should do 3 exercises for each muscle group and each time make sure to do a "true set". this means that u fail somewhere in the 8-12 rep range, and do 3 sets or each exercise.
and while im givin my opinion, dump the bsn supps, they are expensive and there is better stuff out there, for example, optimum nutrition's 100% whey Gold standard protein, and i would also check out Controlled labs supps. The white flood, green magnitude and purple wrath stack is great, also i would throw in a orange triad vitamin.
the white flood is a preworkout supp, like n.o. explode
purple wrath is a bcaa supp, i take it pre intra and post workout
and the green magnitude in a creatine supp with some extra goodies
and orange triad is a great multi with the added benefit of point support which is a great bonus.
this is all just my opinion, you can send me a pm if theres anything else, great questions btw.
p.s. ignore the red rep power some dumba** negged me for givin good advice lol
see ya, and good luck

Well the BSN Syntha-6 I use as a meal supplement for breakfast only and it gets the job done. It seems to me that you are a big fan of controlled labs supplements. I like NO-Xplode a lot and although I'm sure white flood is a great product I'm not willing to change to it. I may try purple wrath because so far it seems great. Cell Mass has worked for me in the past and it is known to be a great product. Not enough is out there to make green magnitude comparable to CellMass. Nitrix has helped me a lot as well. YES I do agree that BSN is rather expensive, and I also agree that there are some things out there that are better. For example Volumaize by BSN sucks, at least for me it did. As far as mulitivitamins go orange triad seems good especially because of joint support but I like my GNC multivitamin because it contains green tea extract. Also from time to time I take Move Free with MSM for my joints and that is an amazing joint support product.
Will taking a Whey Protein (such as the one you mentioned) post-workout after taking cellmass really help? I mean I know it will help me get bigger gains and increase recovery because of the quick digestion of the protein, but is it worth it (just wondering)?
As for sets and reps. I am all about a "true set" but is going 12/10/8 ok if I can;t go anymore than that final 8th rep on my last set? Also I don't think I will have enough time to do three exercises per muscle. Will doing two exercises per muscle still give me a good amount muscle gain if I do work till failure?

you can easily get the lift in, i forget what ur lift looks like, i know ur doin 3 muscle groups a day, that could get hard, what if u did only 2 muscle groups parts a day? if u really wanna loose weight and gain muscle, 2 muscle groups will be great, add in all the cardio and abs and u will see great results

I'd simplify your supplements unless you have the $$ and dial in your diet.
-good whey - ON or Scivation (great value)
-multi vitamin
-creatine - mono is cheap and proven, I personally use Size On
-Pre-workout - use what works for you
-stimulant - AX's Stimulant X give me great all day energy if you're looking for energyLast edited by rob-h; 05-17-2009 at 08:08 PM.
