A leg day like the old days...
It's been 10 years but yesterday I squatted 315 slightly below parallel for 6 reps. I was pretty happy with that:
Squats:
135lbs x 15reps
225 x 10
315 x 6
225 x 8
135 x 10
Hammer Unilateral leg press (1 leg at a time)
90 lbs x 25 reps
135 x 25
180 x 25
225 x 15
Leg ext:
130 x 15 (2X)
DEAD!
Thanks for letting me share.

Way to be! Leg-day is the best and I've gotten myself up to 215 for reps. Love the DOMS for the next few days... Must be a weirdo!

Hmmm. Interesting how you start out increasing weight and lowering reps but then start bringing the weight down and increasing the reps again. I'm going to give that a shot. Thanks for posting this.

I used to love DOMS too.....but I almost never experience them anymore even after heavy deadlifts or squats. I know some people say glutamine does not do anything.....but it works wonders for me.
I take 5 g before and 5 g after my workout. I also recently started using BCAA's during my workout (Xtend) as well.
Anyway.....probably old news for most on here.... But I almost wish I could get DOMS again...... Well maybe not

Yeah... on the last 2 sets... I like to give a 2 second pause deep at the bottom then lift up slow. Makes the last 2 sets brutal. I will often use a TRX strap system to then super set deep (butt to the floor) 1 leg squats just using my own bodyweight to failure. A pump like nothing else... total pain. ;-)
If I'm not curled up on the floor in the fetal position writhing and shaking after the workout then it was not enough. I want to suffer acutely.

Great job man, you have me beat.
Just recently I have gone down in weight significantly because I caught my profile in the mirror I was not close to parallel. I was at 375 and and thought I was strong but apparently just a poser. Now I am setting the stops on the rack to just below where I should be stopping and can only get a few at 285, but they are legal.
