Hernia

I am going in for an umbilical hernia operation. I have been making really good prgress with my routine and was really close to one of my goals being breaking the 300 mark on my bench. I know it iwll take a while to recove from this surgery. Does anyone have any good routines for recovery that might get me back on the right track a little quicker?

Go to the OV35 forum and search on hernia. Several of the guys have had the surgery and buffycat had hers not too long ago. Basically you just follow doctor's orders for when and how you can return to lifting. While it's frustrating to have to stay out of the gym and go back slowly, everyone returned to their former strength in fairly short order after the restrictions were lifted.
