how long after i quit smoking til my body stops expelling mucus?

its been a little over 24 hours since my last cig and before that it was another 15 or so hours. iv been coughing up **** all day yesterday and today and blowing snot rockets all over the toilet. **** sucks man

coughing up "****" is your body removing all the "debris" caused by smoking, it is a sign that your body is attempting to repair itself, the coughing might suck but it is a good thing. Best of luck bro
