    Squats 1x8

Will i see gains doing one set with 8 repetitions 3-4 times a week?
I'm also guessing that if i do they will be small ones?
    (Dont ask why)

Haha i take it thats sarcasm, reason for this is that i've had knee injuries and i'm all clear from the physiotherapist i just dont want to over do it. I'm running for around 30 minutes every time i exercise and i find squats really demanding on my knees, but i cant just ignore legs.

    I wasn't being sarcastic.

Looks like you have the same problem I have. I've just recovered from a knee injury and can't do without not working my legs. So, for now I'll stick to bodyweight ATG (full) squats only. After 2 weeks I'll start lifting heavy.

Running will be harder on your knees than squatting btw. So keep the hard running in check. That's why I love the crosstrainer.

Yeah man, try 1x8 for awhile and see how it treats you. Just take it easy, and use a weight that is comfortable, but allows you to progress over time.

I'm pretty sure like Dark Lucifer mentioned it would prob be better to do a few sets of just your bodyweight, as the real risk in squating comes from all the weight bearing down on you, however I am not familiar with your injury so I don't know if more repititions will be dangerous.

Box squats eliminate ALOT of the stress on your knees and are still an awesome exercise.
