    Sumo vs Traditional Deadlift Muscles Worked

    So I have a muscle anatomy book showing that a traditional deadlift works;

    However the Sumo Deadlift picture only shows the front view. I was wondering if the muscles worked on the back are the same as the traditional deadlift?

    Basically the sumo style will develop the legs, especially the thighs a lot, while the conventional won't, but conventional gives a bit more back muscle mass I think, with sumo everything goes to the legs

    Sumo trades more closed knee angle for more vertical back angle.
