Pec pull, tear, or spasm?
Alright, an hour ago on my last bench set on my fourth rep, something weird happened. Right where my left pec meets my left shoulder, I got a really funny feeling and it felt like something spasmed or rolled inside my chest.
It didn't hurt at the time, but any other chest lifts I tried to do, it hurt pretty badly, BUT I could do them.
What happened to me and what's the best course of action from here? Patience and rest?
Thanks to anyone with similiar previous experience or just a good fundamental knowledge that can assist and advise.

I was doing incline flies for chest and I felt a similar feeling in my upper chest where it connects to my shoulder too. It's been almost 3 weeks now and its almost better. I'm pretty sure I teared it.

Hungry for squats
If it was a bad tear, you would actually hear all the fibers tearing. It's a terrible sound - almost like velcro coming from inside of you. It could have just been a strain or something similar. Ice it and rest it. Make sure to get some good sleep too.

Thanks guys, it's been sore since but not bad enough to inhibit my back and legs workouts. Thinking I just pulled something. Either way, treating my chest carefully for the rest of the week. Will re-evaluate how heavy I go on Monday.
Weak ass noob reps in coming to you two.

Hey, I had a similar situation occur to me like 4 days ago, but I was doing a leg press with heavy weight, and on my way down with it, i felt a "rolling" sensation right under my rib cage, and now it hurts like ****!! I was told that it was simply a sprain, and to take time off from the gym. I would advise the same for you bro, as i'm sure it's prob a sprain of some sort

There's nothing visible (like color change) on the skin outside of where the pain is occuring...and I didn't feel a sharp pain when the accident occured...my father is a cardiologist and he took a look at it and said it was most likely a sprain...but then again, he does not specialize in muscular strains and tears, etc, so I will eventually get this evaulated...it still hurts like a b*tch though!
