Anyone drink pedialyte while they work out?
Do you think the money for the pedialyte is better than drinking just water?

It's electrolytes. But no, you won't need them.

buddy of mine drinks them during rugby.
They don't taste very good though. I'd rather drink gatorade

Gatorade is good enough for someone who is dehydrated from working out. Might even be overkill for some, where water would be just fine to replenish.
While pedialyte does have its place in dehydration, it is more for someone who has fluid loss from diarrhea/vomitting. Pedialyte is better than gatorade for 2 reasons: 1) more sodium 2) less sugar. I think its a waste of money for people working out.

if you are properly hydrated and eat a well balanced diet with enough sodium, potassium, etc. etc. you should not need it at all.

It can't hurt, in my opinion the walmart brand tastes better than actual pedialyte, if your considering the cost when buying it.
