Yes you can especially at your age, it will help everyone if you will provide more information like your diet, exercise, height etc. There are a lot of helpful people here at BB.com but only *you* can make it happen.

Possible, yes. The main problem I see is the learning curve.

I went from 220 to 186 in 18weeks. I already knew my diet plan, weight training routine and cardio. I already had the knowledge as I'd been on and off for 2 years.

If you read your @ss off and develop the meal plan and exercise plan and stick to it strict, you could do it.

You'll probably end up 10lbs away but it is do-able.

Read the sticky at the top of this forum.

    Use www.calorieking.com

Start with 220 grams of protein (if you're 220) and try to stay below 1800 calories. Add a multivitamin, some olive oil or mixed nuts and fill in the remaining calories with carbs.

Eat 1 meal to 8 meals a day. I preferred 6-7 meals as I was never hungry that way. Develop the plans that suit you so you stick with it.

    Good luck!

    Well, it depends.

I dropped 50 pounds in two months, but I did it in a VERY unhealthy way.

Basically, I would eat, wait three to five days only drinking water, eat again and repeat.

I got really depressed, pale, and I actually got sick, but I still dropped the weight. Now I'm building muscle and I'm healthy again.

I wouldn't recommend doing it though, it wasn't good for me.

as far a diet, eat alot of lean meats that are high in protein along with fresh veggies. About 8 oz (half a pound) of high protein meat, and fill up on water and veggies. If you eat salad, they make spray dressings (kent and wishbone) that are 1 calorie per spray and taste pretty good. So that would be way better than any other dressing. Chicken breasts, turkey breasts, buffalo meat, tuna, even lean hamburger meat are real high in protein. (you can find most of them with like 5-10% fat if not less) Buffalo was really good as a meatloaf, not so good as a patty, by the way. I was on a high protein, low carb, low fat diet, and lost 18 pounds in 5 weeks. (i did run 2 miles every 3rd day, and lift weights too) But if you work hard, you could lose 50 lbs in 6 months. Main thing is get a good diet plan and drink only water. Thats more important than exercise. Combine the two and it'll come off, you just have to stick with it though.

    South Beach.
My moms 57 and she averaged a few pounds a week at least. No exercise. Now if you throw in exercise you could probably do more but its strict so you won't be able to hit it hard for a while without any sugar or carb in your body.

Easily possible but probably be sacrificing more muscle mass than you need. Eh, try and see.
"Everyone thinks they're on their way to single digit body fat as soon as they see a blurry four-pack in the right lighting.Your final body weight at 5-6% will be a lot less than what you think.Talk to me again when you get in contest shape." I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.
