Stressing out over eating at work!!!
Ok.. so I'm totally stressing out about relocating at work to a floor where I can't use a microwave for lunch! Currently I have one I "hide" along with a small refrig (it's all a building mgt thing not a company thing), but anyways...
We are relocating to a floor where we'll be more in a "bull pen" setting for about 3 months while they remodel and I'm not sure what I'm going to do for lunch every day! They will have a refrig available, but that's not really my concern so much as the microwave.
Certainly some of you die hards out there have the same issues so please please send me some ideas and calming thoughts before I totally freak out!
Thank you!

There are some stuff that you can take without having to microwave...Like tuna and nuts
Or you can get yourself one of those good insulated bags (with the heating or cooling pads) to keep the food hot or cool....Depending what time you go to lunch, etc though.

Why do I love you? Because we all came from (and inevitably go to) the same source.

You can easily bring chicken, vegetables and nuts for a balanced meal that doesn't need to be heated. Tuna is also a good idea. What about hard boilled eggs? You can also bring yogourt and fruits. Sandwiches are also a good idea.
There seems to be quite a few options.
Good Luck !

<---eats cold leftovers somewhat often...Cold chicken tastes better cold than beef, btw. If it sounds weird to eat those things cold, when was the last time you heated up lunch meat before putting it on a sandwich?
Hard boiled egg whites, cottage cheese and greek yogurt are better cold than not. Rice isn't at all bad when served cold. I'm kinda weird in that I can eat "raw" rolled oats. They're actually pretty good mixed with tuna and the water in the tuna can with some hot sauce.

for some quick protein you can bring beef jerky, they have healthier choices available.
a little pricey, but so good especially if you're in a pinch.

I LOVE cold leftovers too. It's weird, oddly enough I prefer cold verse warm. But yeah, you could bring chicken, veggies, yogurt, sugar free jello, sandwiches, fruit, eggs, tuna, cottage cheese, nuts or any of that stuff.

I eat for lunch a huge salad with cold chicken at least 3 times a week. The other days I may have tuna or a sandwich. Other items are hard boiled eggs, cooked shrimp, cottage cheese, protein shakes, veggies, hummus, peanut butter, sushi, etc.
