This question is for anyone that lives outside the U.S. but specifically England. I was wondering how the American Revolutionary War is viewed in your culture. I'm wondering how it is taught in the schools most specifically but a general view of the population is fine also. If anyone lives in Ireland, Wales or Scotland that's fine too. I don't know how the school systems are over there and what the differences would be from place to place.
Any other places feel free to answer also.
In U.S., generally we are taught American and European history. Almost forgot, here the Rev. War is taught as a "rise against oppressors" "no taxation without representation" that kind of stuff.

Thread isn't meant to be U.S. vs. anyone. I was curious that's all. Here we have European history that kids learn (elementary but specific subject in high school), it's not collge level serious but it is an overview.
