Is there anything wrong with sleeping right after eating dinner? When I get home from work, I eat some snack, go the the gym, and I come home to eat dinner and must sleep right away to get a lot of rest if I want to have energy for my job the next day. Does sleeping when your stomach is a bit stuff cause negative effect in your body?

hey OP. given my current intake (I eat about 1/4 of my calories between 1:30p-2pm and 3/4 of my calories after working out between 5:30p-630p... usually done eating the remaining calories by 8pm), I found that this big meal before bed made my night time rest a lot less "refreshing." This may be due to the fact that digestion takes a lot of bodily resources, making it tougher for me to get a good nights sleep. Keep in mind I go to bed at around 9pm. After changing my regimine to eating all food by 7pm, and going to bed at around 10, my sleep has been a lot more satisfying. However, I've always had a tough time digesting food as it makes me sluggish no matter the composition. My suggestion is to try fasting for a couple hours before bed and see how you like it. If you see no difference, eat and pass out as you do =) =)

Other than possibly waking up bloated, sluggish, and not ready to eat, you'll be fine. You will still digest your food while asleep. Personally I choose to go to bed about 2-3 hours after my last meal. If I sleep too soon after eating I usually wake up feeling terrible, and not hungry for breakfast.
Life is too short to be small.
