Thigh adductor machine problems

I was working on this to build strength for squatting and doing the splits, but I am on the biggest RoM and weight. I am not really sure what to do at this point.

I thought about stealing all those little things you put on the stack and putting them on, but you can only do that so much until the RoM suffers, which defeats the purpose.

What I've been thinking of is if I could possibly increase the RoM by sticking a slab of something between the pads and my thighs? What is something good for that? Towels are sort of too big. I thought about using a plate but I'm not sure how to get it to stick there.

I can't hit the max weight on the abductor machine, should I just work on that instead to avoid an imbalance?

Just squat. The reason you maxed out the machine is because its not designed for serious weight training.

Your time could be better spent with compound movements...yet...the adductors are an important group of muscles in all sports. They are both big and strong muscles.Groin pulls are some of the most common injuries due to the amount of force exerted by these muscles. Some people do use the adductor machines to increase the strength of this group of muscles if this is the limiting factor of their lift.
