I am currently at about 20%, my goal is to reach 10% then permanently slow bulk with small cutting cycles here and there.
I have a trainer friend that is telling me there's no way to get to 10% without using some legal/illegal fat burners...is this true?
Can an endo get to 10% and maintain it without using fat burners? The only supps I'm using now are a multi, EFAs, and whey. My diet is on par and I'm losing 1-1.5lbs per week.
Any personal experience is welcomed

How long can your body generally stay in cut mode where you're losing 1-2 lbs a week? I mean, how long until your body stops burning fat because you've been cutting for too long?

You can always continue to cut, but you must be smart about it. It's a slow process if you want to do it right and maintain as much muscle as possible. For example, if a 200 lb man wants to cut down to 160 he can't start off eating like a 160 lb man. Sure, you'll see weight loss for the first couple weeks, but you'll eventually plateau. If you want to continue losing at a steady rate you must slowly taper off your calories. Eat like a 190 lb man for the first 2-4 weeks, then eat like a 180 lb man once you reach 190, etc. Refeeds once a week where you eat at maintenance can also be beneficial to shake up your metabolism and keep it guessing.

A) Stop buying/eating sugar and flour product
B) base diet on 25%Fat/35%Carb/40%Prot (4-500 cal deficit)
C) Walk, bike everywhere local in addition to 30 min daily cardio at 60-65% max heart rate (figure it out by taking 220 and subtracting your age)
D) Incorporate vigorous lifting every other day to maintain lean tissue.
E) Practice Patience
No wizardry in this plan, hard work and determination is what it takes. Steve

From one "endomorph" to another don't let the label get to you. As posted above, you put on weight easier which can be muscle mass or fat. I wouldn't change my body type for anything because it has allowed me to smash through barriers that may have otherwise delayed me for weeks/months if I wasn't able to build muscle (and the fat that nurtures it) easily. I am 6'2" and just starting to see my abs clearly at 198lbs, I am hoping to have a 6 pack by the first week of June.
If you look at the pics of famous bodybuilders in Arnold's "The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding," you'll see that he calls Dave Draper, Chris Dickerson, Ken Waller, and Lee Priest endo-mesomorphs. I don't think many people would call these guys soft-looking.
Just stay focused and you'll get there easier than you think. Oh yeah, and learn to love cardio if you have problems following a strict diet.
