Defiance
Time to start over - it's been a long year or so, and my time has been taken up by my career as well as relocating. I am still pressed for time during the week, but will start this journal as a way to make myself accountable for workouts.
As most who will (hopefully) follow already have known me over the past few years, I'll save the introduction. My goal for this journal is to get to a higher level than in 2007 - which I feel was my best year. Part of that is cardio, and the other is in the gym.
I will start this journal off by just cardio workouts - and plan to hit the gym in mid to late June, when the new gym opens up. In the meantime, my endurance, mileage and diet are what will be important for me. I encourage anyone that has questions about my workouts or if they don't believe that something that I'm doing makes sense - to let me know. I think this is the only way to improve.

With that being started, thanks in advance for following!

Cardio: ~5 Miles
Workout Summary
I'm still working on the endurance - and I usually don't have time to get the mileage this high during the week (I'll work on getting up earlier than 5 am), so I try to take advantage on the weekends when I have more time.
I'm battling inflammation in my legs that is rather strong at times, so at times, I have to stop and stretch. I do feel like I'm making progress with the endurance, but the weather in Florida during the late Spring / early Summer can be brutal.
All in all, not a horrible way to start off the journal. Today is an off day - and I have a huge presentation Monday morning, so the next run is looking like it'll be Tuesday AM.

I was starting to think nobody was going to follow!
It took right around an hour - and that included some walking to try to relieve the pain in my legs. I'm still working on my endurance, and I can't really test endurance when I have to stop to stretch my legs every mile or so.
I'll be working abs on a bi-daily basis, but am really going to avoid lifting for the next month or so. I'm going to approach the whole thing a bit differently than I have in the past few years - and I think this is the best way. I've got to start fresh.
Sorry for the essay - and thanks for subbing!

Cardio: ~3 Miles
Time: 35 minutes
Workout Summary
Really I was fairly impressed with my endurance, considering that I haven't had the opportunity to run in a few days. Work is insane at times, and for the long-term, I need to work on the timing of fitting my workouts in regardless of what is going on.
I've got some Cordygen V02 on the way because I was impressed with it some time ago. I'll start on it and it should boost my endurance quite a bit.
Other than that, my lower legs are killing me - kind of throbbing all day. It's painful, but I am used to it by now. I'll continue to fight through the pain.

Thanks, JY!
Starting up with CVO2 tonight - so it should be a good run.
I'm aiming for 3-4 days at this point, with the hopes of getting that up to 5 a week. It'll take some time (and cooperation at work), but I am confident I'll get there. Can't wait for my new gym to open though!

Thanks - I ripped the package open when it came! The difference between C5 and CV02 is much larger than I remembered. CVO2 wasn't significantly better than C5 from what I remember, but I was wrong. For cardio, I won't go back to C5 again - CVO2 made a huge difference that C5 just wasn't doing. Love this stuff!
Updates from the last 2 sessions should be up soon. I have a presentation with a client tomorrow morning, so I am a bit pressed for time.

5-9-09
Cardio: ~5 Miles
Time: 60 minutes
Workout Summary
This was the first session with CVO2 - and as I mentioned earlier, it made a huge difference - and it appears to be more potent than C5. I need all of the help that I can get!
Nice session overall, felt a bit of nausea (not sure from what), so I wasn't able to push it as much as I would have hoped for. I have some great scenery running on the Bay, and I try to take advantage of it when I have the time and have longer sessions. Endurance is slow to make progress at this point, but I am improving. Legs aren't hurting quite as much, which is a major plus - I can't stress this enough!
I wanted to get up to 6 miles, but the nausea forced me to quit at 5. Not bad for a Saturday night!

good job on the 5 miles bro. running this much will definitely help you get back into things when you start lifting.
im guessing the CV02 is an endurance product? do you take it before you go running?

Thanks! You guessed it - an endurance product, which also has Rhodiola in it - which boosts the sense of well-being. During cardio, we can all use this!
Cordyceps is incredible with enhancing endurance. It took me forever to try any, but once I did, I was hooked. Love the stuff because I hate the initial stages of endurance training.

Cardio: ~3 Miles
Time: 30 minutes
Workout Summary
Endurance was once again improved, and it's giving me hope that I'm starting to progress with the endurance. This has been the hardest that it's been to get going with the cardio, and I'm not 100% sure. Actually, I need motivation in other ways, and that usually makes it easier.
I have hopes of turning this into a 5 session week, 4 at worst. Feeling good this week, so I hope it continues. I really need to start picking up the mileage, as this doesn't really seem like too much. I'm aiming to hopefully start getting up at 4:30am and start the session by 5:30 - which means that I need to go to bed around 8:30!

great cardio sessions man!
yeah, Corydgen v02 is designed to be a rapid release product as opposed to the time release of Cordygen 5, which is why you're feeling it so much stronger!

What up kid?!?!?
So thus far I have seen nothing but running.
Is there something you are particularly training for, as you want to get your endurance up?

I like it! I had used it before the Ultra version came out - what was changed/enhanced?

Ah, I know exactly what you mean. In the gym, I hate the 5-7pm rush where everybody and their brother go and talk on phones, talk, etc. I got in the habit of getting up early and getting my workout taken care of. If I had a choice, I'd do it late at night, but with a mentally demanding job, I have to get sleep!

Yes, somebody new! Yeah, my gym isn't open yet, and the nearest is about 20 miles away, which is odd because I'm in a very urban area. Actually the new PowerHouse opens up later this month - so it's ahead of schedule. Probably only a few more weeks of cardio only workouts.
Going for the cardio in about a half hour - hopefully will update when back!

there were some issues with the old version that some people complained of stomach discomfort so that was one thing taken care of. Also, our cordyceps source has actually gotten better than it had been before (I know, not possible right?! ), and now is being run through all of our cordygen products to replace the old source!

Cardio: ~5 Miles
Time: 60 minutes
Workout Summary
Time to get back to this! I've been keeping up with the workouts pretty well, every other day but haven't had time to update that much. I found out that my gym is opening on June 1st, so that's great news!
Workout was solid, and my endurance has greatly improved. I'm still not enjoying running as much as I used to, but I'm tolerating it pretty well at this time. Progress is always very helpful to make it more enjoyable!

I know, I have looked forward to something this much in a long time. Don't worry, I'll get some Pre-Surge shortly!
I used to love it, and I think the combination of kind of slacking off a bit, as well as the insane humidity down here killed me. It's tough to enjoy at times. I run in the rain whenever I can because the humidity goes down a little.
I hear you on getting tired of it - it gets old kind of quickly these days!

hey savage
you ever try anything else for cardio with a twist of fun? like what I mean is, you have any buddies that play soccer or tennis or something like that? That can be great cardio and it gives you a chance to hang with your mates a bit and do something competitive and fun!
I cant stand just "going out for a run"...so thats how I get my cardio in

Ah man I'm from NY! I really miss it at times. I run on the warm side all year, so the summers down here are brutal for me. What part of NY are you from?

I would, but to be honest, it's hard to find people that are interested in an active lifestyle down here. The people that I've worked with down here have called me a meat head because they know that I lift, and am active. It's odd really. People think that going for a 30 minute walk is being active. It's just a different culture here, unfortunately.
I like your idea though, that would be helpful!
