Jogging

Does jogging help you lose weight or gain weight? I have seen people training for the marathon and they have been living on a healthy diet and look bulky. I want to lose weight and not end up looking like panther from gladiators lol. I also have an under active thyroid and since last month have gained about have a stone or more. I eat healthily so I'm at the moment pretty depressed and pissed off about my weight and the way I look I have no confidence and hide myself under baggy clothes. I'm hoping someone can help me.

Thanks

it makes you lose weight if dont too frequently, once or twice a week for half an hour will have a very small affect on your size gains.

Jogging will not make you bulk up. Its a form of cardio that is good for the cardiovascular system and burns calories. In order to lose weight you need to eat at a calorie deficite compared to your daily caloric maintinance. In order to keep the weight off you need to lift weights and gain muscle, plus keep your calories within your daily caloric maintinance.

Atm I weigh in at about 10.1 - 10.2 on a good day which I am not happy about. I literally eat about 600 - 800 calories a day and still gain weight. I would love to get a fitness instructor but cant afford it and go to the gym but the people who go our gyms are complete arseholes who pry and watch people my age. I have lost the will to exercise because that doesnt seem to work, I'm also a vegetarian. I know its a lot to ask but if anyone can set me out a diet and exercise plan I would be greatful

Thanks
