Ask him to pick up a weight, and when he turns away, bend over and command him to mount up.

The idea for someone sitting on your back when performing donkeys is to increase the weight for more resistance, so ask the biggest dude in the gym to sit on your back.

Otherwise go home.

Not to mention it's not the most effective exercise out there.

You'll get better results with smith calf-raises or 45 degree sled calf-raises.

You should ask him to join you for a workout sometime so he can see those calves in action.

Wow, this thread is crazy.

Seriously, does your gym have a smith machine? Use that. Just set the bar at the proper height so that when you lean forward on the bench for support that you can push up the bar with your back. I do the same movement on my Powertec WB-LS and it works fine.
