Poundstone Training for Mohegan 09'

Hello Everyone,

I would like to share some videos of Derek training for the May 17th Worlds Strongest Man qualifier held at Mohegan Sun. I will use this same thread to keep updated videos and pictures until the competition. Today was the first day back training strongman events after taking 2 weeks off for vacation. Since Derek gained 15lbs and is now 325/330lbs he is trying to work on his conditioning. Derek will use this training time and the Mohegan competition to see how he wants to come in for Fortissimus. Right now his strength is great but his conditioning is down a bit. Last year at Fortissimus he came in lighter, so these next few weeks will be an indication of what weight he performs best at. I hope you enjoy the videos.

314lb Log for 7 reps. Derek was able to get 11 reps right before vacation!

350lb Farmers per hand/ about 300ft

473lb Stone over 51 in bar (this is the "420" stone used twice at Mohegan and once at Madison Square Garden that prior to today had never been loaded) The stone was really dirty and dusty and over the next few weeks Derek will be using these stones to get them ready for Mohegan.

nice videos, just wondering what sort of conditioning work he will be doing to bring his conditioning up?
