Sounds good. Generally you wouldn't take the whey any other time, except maybe before/after cardio.

Whey absorbs very very quick, which is why one takes it before/after a workout. The proteins are there when you need them.

Don t take whey as a meal replacement or anything, because you want sustained protein absorbtion for a few hours until your next meal.

Also, mix the whey with dextrose or maltodextrin, for your pre/post workout mix.

They are simple sugars that will cause a quick and drastic rise in your body's insulin levels. This will help transport nutrients into your muscle cells faster than a lower GI carb source. (something you want only after a workout). Dextrose/Maltodextrin are VERY cheap, you can find them at food supply stores, breweries, and even online. Otherwise, get some gatorade powder, it contains dextrose as well.

You can drink your shakes at your breakfast and post workout; those will be your most beneficial times. If you can afford more than even better; that way you can drink one 1 hr before you train as well.

drink your shakes whenever you need your protein, after you workout is a must, drink before bed if you want to gain weight...

i dont really think drinking pre workout is a good idea, personally becaues i get really nasty cramps, and i like to save space for water

Try not to have it too close to the start of your workout. Like an hour or so before would be nice.
