Can I get the same results...

I had been going to the gym everyday and spending anywhere form 1-2 hours there. Since I have taken on a second job, I am finding it hard to find time to get to the gym. In a building behind my house I have a treadmill and a home gym system, the kind you get at wal-mart. I also have adjustable dumbells, but not a lot of plates. So, I'm worndering, can I get the same results at my small home gym as I could going to the gym? If so, what equipment do I need to add? I figure a barbell and more plates. Do I really need a weight bench or can I lay on the floor and use the barbell?

Its about quality, not quantity. I dont go to a gym and I lost 80 pounds.

You dont need to be in a gym for an hour or two a day, every day to build a healthy lean body. If you want to compete you will, but if your goal is a healthy weight range with nice tone a definition, three weights sessions for an hour each, and three cardio sessions at high intensity for a 1/2 hour a week should be fine, with a good diet.

But answer to the original question, yes, you can do it at a home gym, just lift heavy, oh, and you will need a bench. Scan the papers, there is people selling their equipment all the time.
