back pain, herniated disc(?)

I hurt my back while warming up for clean and jerk. Its been almost two days, but the pain still persists (although it has gone down considerably). The back pain is highly localized in the left lower region of the back. Anytime I change my position (i.e. stand up after sitting for a while), the pain persists for a few seconds and then eases away.

I dont feel any tingling/numbness in the legs or back. So, I am hoping this isnt a herniated disc (never had any back injury before, so I really have no idea how a herniated disc/some serious injury would feel).

Any of these symptoms look familiar?

I also have a similar problem.. you say that there is no tingling/numbness in the legs, so the nerves in the spine may not be infringed upon, which is a good thing. I do experience the numbness in my leg and i am working with a chiropractor to relieve it...its helping... you may just have a pulled muscle, in my experience the disc problems seem to come with the numbness/tingling in the legs, depending on which disc it is.. my advice would really be to see a doctor, maybe get some x-rays, or go see a chiropractor and maybe he can help.
