"Fedor was basically playing with Aoki. He allowed him to get sub attempts like a flying armbar, a leg lock attempt, and even takedowns like the double leg and a nice seoi-nage.

Watching it though, you could very much tell that Fedor was allowing Aoki live and catch stuff for the sake of the fans. It didn?t stop him from picking him up and slamming him all around the place though, locking up subs of his own before letting go to stand back up. There was one instance where Fedor pounded the ground with a huge fist, right next to Aoki?s head?kind of a sign that, ?hey, I can stop this at any moment, kiddo.?

but about aoki looking really big for a LW

he was probably still on his bulking for WW, not cutting weight or whatever else

From what I read Fedor gave away a takedown and a few sub attempts, locked a few subs and let go. There was one instance where Fedor pounded the ground with a huge fist, right next to Aoki’s head—kind of a sign that, “hey, I can stop this at any moment, kiddo.”

yeah that is pretty funny, although i trainded with a sambo guy for a few months and cant pull off a leg lock to save my life

Fedor has said in interviews that he can do all sorts of submissions, but he ends up doing armbars and chokes all the time because they're the easiest, and doesn't feel the need to pull out flashy moves.

You asking that reminds me of Oleg Taktarov. He would normally win by choke, and then tell the interviewer afterwards that he was disappointed with the result because he wanted to do some sick sambo leg-locks that nobody in America had ever really seen.

I don't know man, I heard some people saying this Federer guy might be nearly as good as some former ufc champions like Tim Silver and Andrew Arlovski. I don't know tho. He's fat and out of shape so it can't be true.
