    575x2 squat

    I really wanted to triple this. If I didn't suck so bad, I think I could have. I smacked the plates on the rack during the walkout and it took about 12 minutes to get my footing. I felt like I had the triple based on how easy the first rep was, then I almost lost the 2nd rep forward, so I racked it.

    Also, maybe it is just the angle, but they look a tad high to me. This is weird b/c I am certain I have taken every squat to the exact same depth my entire lifting career.

    I don't think it is the angle, I think you need to have your eyes checked. Those were nice and deep despite the knee drift. Good job.

    Yeah, I felt like I was going to die on the 2nd rep. Then I watch it on video and it doesn't look too hard at all.


    You don't think "scar tissue" is good squatting music? That **** gets me ****ing pumped.






    I chalk all of my misses up to the heinous music they play at my gym.


    edit: those dudes benching in the background train chest for about 10 hours a week. They also box squat to 30" ply boxes, and look at me like I am retarded when I foam roll.

    The form is a work in progress, it's better than it used to be. Unfortunately I squatted like a complete idiot for a really long time without knowing better. Now the only way I am remotely strong is squatting upright with tons of knee travel etc.

    Great Squat Bro. You made that Double look easy. Your depth was very good.

    It would have been less hazardous to have a guy who knew what he was doing spotting you. As I learned from spotting my training partner - who is 220 (and had 385 on his back in one particular instance) - it's really good to have someone at least as big and strong as you spotting you. Yeah, if this were always possible. Ok, a guy on each side. Well, I've seen things go wrong there too...

    You may have hit the third, but it was safer to rack it

    Very nice squats!
    But I have a question. Do you think your knees go too much forward when you squat? I used to do that and my quads took almost all of the work, now I sitt back and use more of my posterior chain. (no hate)
