    bench press shoulder pain

    ive noticed when i bench either bb or db if i do anything over 130lbs or so my right shoulder pops and sends a real sharp pain through my shoulder but i dont notice it with any other exercise wondering what this could be or how i could work around it or if there is something i can do to improve it

    Could be a weak rotator cuff. You should work on your shoulders to improve your bench and always warm up your shoulders before doing bench. Also go see a doctor or trainer because they know a lot more than I.

    It's hard to say. But as a general rule, I would stay away from flat BB presses as it tends to really aggravate shoulders.

    Also make sure you're not flaring your elbows out too much; keep them slightly in toward your sides as to help avoid impingement.
