No Energy..No biceps....
I've just dedicated to training after some years and have run into two problems which I'm chalking up to "i'm not as young as i used to be". The first is since i've started..weight has dropped off better than I want but i have NO energy...i'm already eating every hour and I'm eating clean and well but my energy levels are just too low..any adivce?? The second swings to my bicep training...for some reason i can't get anything going. I do the excersizes..get the burn..reach failure.. next day its like i never did a thing...i've double and triple checked my form and have had others help me with it to no avail....again, any advice??
thanks

Are your energy levels feeling low before you even start lifting? If so, you may simply need more rest than you already have. If you cannot adjust your sleeping patterns, try to take a nap during the day. If you absolutely have no time to get more rest than you already have, drink a couple cups of coffee or take a caffeine pill before you hit the iron.
If you enter the gym and your muscles become fatigued within a couple of sets, that's a different story. You may want to start using creatine and beta-alanine to delay muscle fatigue. You can also use a pre-workout supplement such as NO (Nitric Oxide) to give you an extra energy boost and pump during your workout.

Biceps recover quickly for many. Monitor growth and progression in weight used first and foremost.

for biceps try diffrent rep ranges, heavy-low rep, light high rep, even throw in the odd drop set, biceps are a funny muscle, they can be a hard muscle to force to grow, also try cg bb curls, shoulder width bb curls to hit the long and the short head and also hammer curls, it could even be that you are doing to much for biceps, you wont know untill you experiment. as for your energy, if your on a bodybuilders diet i.e high protein you can loose out on injesting essential nutrients that you would get from foods you used to eat, a good multivitamin could help plus make sure you are drinking about 2lts of water a day

i always find that a good day at the gym wakes me up for the rest of the day. Are you getting a good post-workout meal, because without that im dead all day.
