    Eating before bed when cutting

I've heard differing opinions on this and I wanted to get a majority opinion on this topic.

I am currently cutting and am wondering should I take in a snack late evening to fuel my body while I sleep, or should I have my last meal several hours before I got to sleep so that my body vasts throughout the night?

    What are your opinions? Thanks.

Eating before bed doesn't turn you into a fatty. A constant caloric surplus and a lack of activity does.

I try to hit my last meal a few hours before bed because sometimes having a full stomach keeps me awake. If you can handle a full belly before bed, go for it. If you are finding yourself hungry late at night, chances are you need more calories throughout the day.

I'm about 2 weeks into my cut and I've still been taking casein protein right before bed. I figure it's low carb & fat so it can't hurt as long as it doesn't put you over on calories (regardless of your stance on the whole cal=cal debate). I'm really paranoid about losing muscle while I cut so I'm trying to err on the side of caution. So far it doesn't see to be hurting me, I'm down a couple pounds and most importantly I think I'm looking a little leaner.

I don't get why people eat before going to bed. When you sleep your body is suppose to rest to detoxify. If you are eating something before then your body is really working to digest while you sleep. Totally defeats the purpose of sleep if you ask me.

Ideally having as few carbs as possible is best for body composition. But the calorie surplus or deficiency is the biggest factor. Casien protien and fat is ideal before bed to recover. I usually have low fat cottage cheese with a tbsp or Natty PB an hour before bed. I love it and seems to be a popular choice on these forms
