    do you guys take...

    suppliments during the day when you are going to drink a lot of alcohol that night. i'm not talking about pills, but powder mixes, musclemilk, anything really that you drink. i'm worried that it will not bode well for my digestive system

    the reason i ask is cause i'm in college, and the nicer the whether gets, the more often i drink on weekends, and random times during the week.

    i know whey digest within the hour, but im taking casein and it takes up to 7 hours to digest

    I will go out on a limb and say most general supps are okay to this with such as ur creatines,NO2,bccas/eaas etc, expect illegal drugs aas or phs.

    OP, hardcore partying and getting wasted every weekend is definately not good for you, but having a few beers (less than 5) once a week wont hurt u.

    just take ur stuff (watever supp it is, no methylated phs tho). eat and drink a little before and after drinking. Help get rid of all the toxins ur body builds up w/ alcohol digestion.

    Seriously the thing you should watch out for is dehydration, especially if you take creatine. Drink plenty of water that day and especially drink some before you go to bed. It took two room-spinning happy-go-pukey hangovers to drill that lesson into my skull.

    of course excess will effect you negatively...but I do remember reading a book written by Columbo talking about after an afternoon workout him and Arnold would drink a glass or two of wine and nap and then a couple beers at night. His thought was that the relaxing effect of alcohol (in moderation) outweighed the negative effects on the body....

    im like you tomdip. i love working out and i take protein, creatine, glutamine, and a pre workout drink and i drink every weekend and usually thursdays too. Thursday is a good bar night here at my college. dont worry bout the drinking keep having fun in and out the gym
