Has anybody ever been accused of using steroids when you've only used supps and protein? Its gotta be one of the best compliments anybody can give you. Do yall disagree or agree?

I'm a skinny little mofo (see avi), but I get/have gotten accused of it because of the vascularity in my arms and quick gains I made.
surprisingly, the accuser was not a noob, and is a big dude/serious lifter who I look up to at my gym.
my defense: "if I took roids, I think I would be a little bigger than 6'2'' 180."

some people at my gym accuse me of using steroids lol It motivates the HELL out of me...personally, it's the best compliment. I basically follow the advice on these forums as far as nutrition and good form and I've made lots of progress compared to people at my gym who've been working out longer than me and don't really have much to show for.

The only people that have ever asked me are fat/out of shape. Sometimes they're joking, sometimes they're sarcastic, but either way I think the basis of this questions comes from some sort jealously/laziness. It's the same type of person who doesn't set foot in the weight room, but thinks because they spent half an hour on the elliptical they're justified in eating a whole pizza.
I usually reply with something along the lines of "No roids, but I did just have pec implant surgery. Thanks for noticing!".

funny thing is that there are only a hand full of members who actually come out and state they take roids .... yet in the Us and UK they are now reporting how roids is becoming an epodemic in the bodybuilding world and how most people who set foot in a gym and start to take it serious do roids at one point or another.

too be really honest...
most of the ppl in the gym will use steroids some or other time...
the gym their ass off and see little change.. then a friend of theirs use something stupid like d-bolls... and they see strength changes and some size...
so then they use that and see nothing bad happening... after a while they inject and see big changes, then they inject and use d-bols.. and then they mix the stuff up and inject more and use more pills.. cause MORE IS BETTER right?!?! and then they die from kidney failures and stuff like that...
so before you guys think about using roids.... read up about it.
Could save your life...

I have been asked by my mother if im taking steroids and also it has been mentioned around my family.
This is just because they have seen a change in my body in the last 9 months.
I take this as an insult to be honest. Thay are, in my eyes, saying that i cant do this without cheating. That really annoys me.
If you add into the equation............
1. i have been a qualified nurse for 15 years and am pretty careful with medications.
2. I gave up drinking alcohol 3 and a half years ago and havent touched a single drop since. I did this to try to maintain good health.
So why would i take steroids in their eyes?
So, if its family who know i am training hard, that counts as an insult.
But, if it was a gym member then i would take it as a compliment as it would mean that i looked big. Noone ever accuses the skinny kid of being on steroids.
Hell if i WAS taking them then i would have no hesitation of letting people know as if thought it was ok for me to do them then it would be ok for most others to do them.www.studio22.org

Yes and No.
If someone ASKS you and you set them straight and they believe you then that is cool, like an acknowledgement that you are doing something right.. But if they ACCUSE you and don't believe you when you try to set them straight THAT is an INSULT, because they are basically taking away from all your natural, un-assisted effort."If you can't have the best of everything, make the best of everything you have"
