Hello
I have been dirty bulking for the past 9 months, and went from 140 lbs to 172lbs (as of yesterday)
I think i'm doing very nice for a 50% healthy foods and 50% fast food/dirty foods, diet. 3500 calories a day. BillStar 5x5. Creatine, amino fuel, whey protein.
Bench: 185x5, Squat: 225x5, DL: 225x5
One thing i've noticed is my legs are actually starting to get muscle on them. They used to have NO mass, due to low bodyfat.
I know the pics are crappy blurry webcam pics, but What would you say my bf% is? In person, my forearms and biceps show veins, and my calves even have them, mostly toward the ankles.
I know my lats are lagging but they are my hardest muscle to gain with. Before billstar I was doing 3x10 wide-armed pullups, with my own body weight twice a week... but of course im following billstar right now

If you're going fast food for 50% I at least recommend you eat Subway or eat nothing but grilled chicken at other places. I still have to try KFC grilled. McDonald's grilled chicken is not bad. Just wished they didnt serve it on such a thick bun. And avoid that mayo.

if bulking is your goal, as long as you keep track of your calories, they are in "excess" and keep protien at least .5g per pound of bodywieght then it doesn't matter where the rest of your calories come from. They can come from cheap food or expensive food, a chicken subway sub, or a steak subway sub, a grilled chicken sandwich on whole wheat, or a whopper dripping in mayo, maple syrup or pepsi. IT DOES'NT MATTER!
You can eat it in 6 sittings or one setting.
If your goal is not to get too fat then keep the calories capped at a certain point say 500 excess a day.
If you want to pull straws, then yes, any exclusion of all fat, or all carb will be a problem. However, fast food is balanced and fine for bulking.
Cutting is the same except you will have to up the protien to a full gram per pound of LBM and simply do caloric deficit over time.
Considering your'e in college, eat cheap! Don't look back on these years and see that you blew all your money on "clean zen food" while everyone was out having fun.
