    my sister - new to working out

    My sister is about 5feet10 but could really lose like 30-40lbs! She has never worked out before really..(maybe once for 2 months). She really has no concept of doing weights and is now going to be starting at my gym with me in the summer.

    What do you suggest is a good program for her? I want to start her off with cardio, but she is actually excited to do weights! Would a upper/lower day split be best...or isolated workouts for specific groups? I guess something very basic for the first month of two would be best, but I am not sure how to start her off.

    Any advice is appreciated!

    Thanks

    I think starting her off with full body workouts are best. This is quickest way to get her familiar with the exercises, weights, machines, etc...Each time she trains pic new exercises for her to do...this will get her moving in the right direction.

    Good luck.

    Yes I agree. Full body workouts are the best way to start. Here is a bb.com link to getting started;
