There's a lot of them on ebay, so you could save some money there. But, you could also check the Marketplace at the badger and blade website. You will have a chance to talk to the vendor and can probably save some $$ over ebay.
Otherwise, just walk into a shaving store and see what they have to offer. Not the best prices, but you'll have a brand new razor that shouldn't need to be stropped for a few shaves.

Ive never honed a razor before. There is a nice tutorial on youtube about it and it doesn't seem to horribly complicated. I do have a couple old practice razors I can use before I try it on my Dovo
TABAC is awesome. That is all
You can't go wrong with a Dovo. They are quality blades and they aren't too expensive. They aren't cheap though, so plan on spending at least $100 for one. Mine was about $170. They look awesome too

I think I'm allergic to something in Tabac. I've been using momma bears stuff with some other creams and the rash just below my neck has gone away.

I ordered the Tweezerman brush. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't tell you anything first hand. But I hear its a decent brush. The price is certainly right.

What's up bro? I couldn't justify spending a lot of money on a brush but I got this one and its been awesome!
$20 on Amazon and it is really heavy and has a solid feel. http://www.amazon.com/SimplyBeautifu...071041&sr=8-11

I see a lot of you guys like Dovo straight razors. Anyone own or have experience with Boker straight razors? I own a couple Boker pocket knives and I really like them. Their prices seem in line with Dovo... I'm looking at a Boker King Cutter for $125 or maybe an Edelweiss for around $140.

Can you guys advise me on a good quality shaving cream? I've been using Omega Shaving Cream: http://www.shaving-shack.com/omega-s...GoogleBase2721
But it only lasts me 10-15 shaves or so. I've seen about shaving cream in a tube that you put just a little bit into a bowl to mix and was wondering how much more efficient this is? I think I will do this instead but I'm unsure on which to buy. thanks a lot

What are some good razors besides Feather? Ive been using sharks an they are absolutely terrible if I let my beard grow for more than 2 weeks it doesnt cut it at all.
here is what I have so far which do you recommend I try?
Astra
Derby
Sharp

Crystal

I was expecting to see two days and saw two weeks instead. I'd imagine that a safety razor, with the relatively little space between the blade and guard, would have trouble cutting longer hair. I don't have that problem with my straight but I think a lot of brahs trim their beards close before using a safety razor if they haven't shaved in a while.

I just used the derby and it mowed that motha****a down. Clean smooth shave, didnt even have to go ATG, my favorite blade so far (Used Sharp, Shark, Astra)
I guess Sharp would work really well when I need to shave a shortstack♦ ɴɣϲ ϲrew ♦
