Inscrutable's Journal ~ Irony at it's best.
I was encouraged to post a journal here to better achieve my goals, get advice, and show some accountability. Made sense, so here I am.
Do not have all my stats, yet. Sorry.
What I do know...
5'6"
134 #s
Weakness:
My love for Wine and Lindeman's Kriek & Pomme Lambics. *sigh*
Supplements I am taking as of right now:
**100% Gold Whey Protein
**twinlab Energy Fuel from time to time when I need a boost.
**Daily multi-vitamin
Health:
**Anemic (pretty bad, really)
**On and off thyroid issues (a result from Anemia and poor nutrition/activity level ratio)
Workout routine as of this second:
**Body pump 3x a week
**Kickboxing 2x a week
**Power Yoga 1x week
**Elliptical 6x a week for 30 minutes on cross-training setting
Needs:
**Sleep more
**To improve my diet. No fad diets... They all work... until they don't. lol
**I need to alter my routine to add weight training again. I love everything I am doing now. It is possible for me to do full body workout mon/wed/fri and then do back to back KB and BP on tues/thurs. This will force me to push Power Yoga to Saturday mornings, but absolutely doable.
Books I purchased today to help me eat more and put together a killer workout for WT are:
**The complete food counter by Natow & Heslin
**101 Workouts for women by the editors of Muscle and Fitness Hers.
Subscribe to:
**Muscle & Fitness
**Yoga Journal
Will be back later this evening to add everything I ate.
TIA for all feedback.

While looking over new workout book, I realized I do just about all those exercises now in body pump.
So, do the same exercises, up the weights and lower the reps?

Second page no workout or meals eaten today.
Disappoint.

I just bought the book. I was winging it today. I plan to put together a meal plan, then a grocery list... Have some faith in me. I can do this.

oh my gosh, 100 squats!?? the thought of that makes me bored, lol! well, props to you
your meal plan looks pretty good. are you tracking your macros with fitday or a similar program? honestly, you can get those essential fats in pretty easily with a handful of almonds/walnuts/whatever nuts you like. or some avocado. and fats before bedtime is never a problem because they digest slowly, thus you won't gain weight from it, but you won't get hungry through the night either.

I have an excel spreadsheet that I plug in all my calories for food I eat. It then charts it for me.
I did buy some almonds, avocados, oatmeal, and long grain wild rice at the store today.
I love doing squats. Lunges are y arch nemesis, though. lol

I like boil-in-a-bag brown rice. The kind with nothing other than rice inside the packaging packaging. No salt, no seasoning etc. Cooks pretty fast in microwave or stove-top.
+ sweet potatoes are great for you. You can wrap one in a wet paper towel and nuke for ~8 minutes, and it's ready to eat. If you have time, they're much better baked @ 450 degrees for ~50 minutes.
Make sure your oatmeal is just oatmeal. Don't get the sugar loaded kind.

Monday 4/27/09
Yesterday was not a good day for Diet and exercise. Started off okay with 30 minutes on elliptical on cross-training setting and a bowl of oatmeal. Then it all went downhill from there. Nothing for lunch because I was contending with storm damage, and I managed to eat a grilled chicken ranch BLT sandwich from McDonald's without the ranch or bacon for dinner. Other than that it was coffee and water all day.
