Sort of. The basic idea is that you would eat the sort of foods that were available to paleolithic man - before the cultivation of crops and the domestication of animals.
You eat things like lean meat, fish, shellfish, fruits, berries, nuts, root vegetables like potatoes - the sort of things early man would have gotten by hunting and fishing and gathering - and avoid things like salt, sugar, fatty meats, refined grain products like bread or pasta, and dairy products - the sort of foods that were introduced with agriculture and animal husbandry.
The theory behind it is that mankind ate like that for a vast era, and only recently are we consuming so much fat (from dairy products and lazy domesticated animals), and carbohydrates, that our bodies aren't really adapted to our newer diet, and that this is the cause of much of our health problems.
